Rania Youssef Denies "Playing with Wolves," Talks Current Projects

In a private statement to , Rania Youssef has denied that she's signed on to star in the controversial film "Al Laaba ma El Da'ab" (Playing with Wolves), whose producer said the film would tackle a serious, controversial issue but has not yet revealed what that issue is. The film is being directed by Amir Shaker with a screenplay from Fathy Al Gendy.

Youssef confirmed she's currently devoting her time to filming "Niran Sadiqa" (Friendly Fire), in which Amr Youssef, Menna Shalaby and Mohammed Shahin co-star. The show, directed by Khaled Marei, revolves around a tight-knit group of friends who've remained close since their schooldays. Many years have gone by, and life has brought some distance between them, though when they all reunite, new confrontations and secrets bubble up to the surface.

In other news, Rania also said she's waiting for the set to be completely built for her show "El Amaleya Messi," in which she stars alongside Ahmed Helmy, Ezzat Abo Auf and Salah Abdallah. It was produced and directed by Ahmed El Menaweshy.
