Disney-Pixar made the announcement this week. It's really happening. After a full decade, and years of Ellen Degeneres' not-so-subtle lobbying, " Finding Nemo" is finally getting the green light for a sequel, "Finding Dory," all about our favorite memory-challenged blue fish, voiced by Degeneres.

Pixar is now in talks with members of the original cast. Degeneres is no doubt on board, in addition to Albert Brooks who voiced Marlin, Alexander Gold who voiced Nemo, as well as the original director Andrew Stanton, also the guy behind "Toy Story" and "WALL-E."

Degeneres, who ran a link of all the times she's talked about doing a sequel on her daytime talk show, told the audience how happy she was and that "the script is fantastic. It has everything I loved about the first one." It's surprising it took this long: "Finding Nemo" is Pixar's second-highest-grossing film ever, after " Toy Story 3" and it won the Oscar for Best Animated Film.

Scant details have been leaked about the plot, though "Finding Dory" will find the little blue fish a year after the events of the first film. Stanton said, "One thing we couldn't stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In Finding Dory, she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family on the way."

"Finding Dory" will be released in 3D on November 25, 2015. Just keep swimming, Nemo fans! 2015 isn't that far away.
