Mohamed Farahat Omar is an Egyptian actor, born in 1931. He obtained a BA in philosophy from Cairo University in 1954, and also obtained an MA and a PhD in philosophy. He is best known for the character of Dr. Shadid. He worked on the play 30 Days in Prison. In 1968, he worked for several years on the Italian radio and returned to star in television series, including Zainab and the Throne, and Rose Petals. He passed away in 1997.
