A Syrian actor, born on April 12, 1915 in Damascus. His artistic talent began to appear in some roles in school plays. In 1937, he participated in the play Ataturk. In 1938 he participated in the play The Crime of the Fathers. He participated in acting with the Egyptian band Amin Atallah. In 1938, he was an employee and worked in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. In 1939, he formed an amateur band that included fifteen actors. In 1961, he moved to Lebanon to work in radio and television. He returned to Damascus and worked with the Mahmoud Jabr band. He worked with the Qanoua Brothers Ensemble. Before Anwar moved to cinema, he presented a radio play in which he participated in the role of Kamel's mother and created great momentum. Since then he reincarnated this charming character to spread his fame in Syria and the Arab countries. The year 1939 was considered the beginning of his artistic launch that was full of successes and distinguished roles. In 1991, he decided to retire before he dies with a few months ago. He died on January 19, 1992, in Damascus, after having a tumor in the head.
