A Lebanese musician and violinist, he loved music since childhood. At the age of thirty, he studied music distribution in Greece, then went to Egypt in 1952, where he led the band for the artist Karem Mahmoud. He then worked with the artist Muhammad Abdul Muttalib. In 1958, he married the Lebanese dancer and actress Nadia Jamal, and the marriage lasted nine years until it ended. After their divorce , he moved between Egypt and Lebanon and worked as an actor in Arab and foreign films. He made the soundtracks for a number of foreign films, such as 24 Hours of Murder and the movie Walk or Death. He presented musical pieces on Voice of the Arabs Radio. In 1976 he left Lebanon for Canada, where he works as a music teacher and plays in concerts. He has a son named Tariq.
