An Egyptian actor, music composer and singer of Nubian descent, born in Qena in 1897. He lived in Alexandria, and specialized in presenting monologues, the most famous of which was Allenby, in the midst of the 1919 revolution, demanding the return of the nation’s leader, Saad...Read more Zaghloul, from his exile. He composed the music for almost 200 monologues. He began his cinematic career in the mid-forties, playing notable supporting roles. Among his films Sons of Adam, Let Me Sing, and Allah Is the Greatest. He died in 1959.
