An Egyptian comedian, and owner of a popular theater group bearing his name. He joined George Abyad's troupe before WWI, then he joined Aziz Eid's vaudeville group in the summer of 1915. He joined the company formed by el-Rihani in 1916 at the Renaissance Theater where he acted in the plays Kishkish Bey in Paris, and Kishkish Bey's Will in 1925. He created a comic group bearing his name that worked the summer season in Alexandria. He rejoined el-Rihani's company in 1935 and participated in the plays Who Would Go Against a Woman, and Fanous Effendi. He continued to play major roles alongside Naguib el-Rihani until he died suddenly in November 1938 during the performance of the play Await Your Fate.
