An Egyptian director and screenwriter, born in Bani Serif Governorate on March 8, 1946. His full name is Ahmed Yassin Mohamed Abdel Moneim. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1968 with grade excellent, and taught directing. He worked as an assistant for directors such as Youssef Chahine, Ashraf Fahmy and Hussein Kamal. Among his most important films as a director: The Damned (1979), Illegal Matters (1982), and The Devil's Friends (1988). He died on August 8, 1988 due to a heart attack.
