Egyptian musician Mohammed Abdel Moteleb was born in the town Shoubrakhit in the Baheira Governorate in 1910. He joined the Kottab in his village for a short time, where he worked to memorize the Quran. Abdel Moteleb performed with the Badiaa Masabny Band and frequently worked with composers Daoud Hosni and Mohammed Abdel Wahab. Throughout his career, Abdel Moteleb earned himself a loyal following and produced dozens of songs including: Living in El Sayeda, O, People of Love, Farewell to Your Love, and O, White Night. He also appeared in numerous films including: Give Me Your Mind, A Night of Love, Your Day Will Come, and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. Abdel Moteleb died in 1980 at the age of 70.
