An Egyptian singer, who started her career in the forties through working in the musical troupe of Ali Farrag who discovered her. She was the first singer to record a song on the radio as a newcomer. She appeared in several films as a singer, such as the movies Rebellious Girl (1940) and The Fifth Groom (1942).
