A Syrian actor, born in Damascus on July 31, 1938. He received a BA in English literature in 1962 from Damascus University. He appeared in many television, theater and film works, in addition to some radio works. He has been a member of the National Theater since 1969 and has been a member of the Actors Syndicate since 1980. His stage credits include King Lear, The Merchant of Venice, and Macbeth. He is married to actress Omaima El Taher.
