An Egyptian actor, he was born 8 September 1924 in the British capital, London, to an Egyptian father who was an engineer and a British mother. He attended business school and worked for the European program, where he was a news presenter. He was discovered by director Niazi Mostafa, who introduced him in the film His Excellency, The Ambassador (1966). In the 1970s he made a number of important films in his career, including The Empire M, Watch Out for ZuZu, The Return of the Most Dangerous Man in the World, and Alexandria, Why?. He was known for his foreign features in most of his film and television roles. He appeared in various TV series, including Tears in Bold Eyes (1980) and Raafat Al-Haggan S1 (1988). He passed away on June 5, 1998.
