An Egyptian actor and director, he spent his early childhood and youth in Upper Egypt and finished his intermediate studies and first year at the Faculty of Medicine in Assiut, but dropped out and joined the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. He worked during his studies in the Youssef Wehbe Troupe, as the hero of many of his plays, including The Mute. He was discovered by producer Ramses Naguib, who presented him in the movie Until the End, and after that he appeared in many films and series, most notably Mountain Wolves and The Octopus.
