A Syrian actor and director, born in Damascus. At the beginning of his career, he worked with the Radio and Television Folk Dance Troupe, which was later known as the Umayya Troupe, and he was one of its most prominent members. Then he began acting in a number of television dramas, then in television directing, after which he traveled to Hungary to study directing academically. After his return, he directed several children's series, as well as comedy and drama series. His acting credits include Salt and Sugar (1973), What's Wrong (1979) and The Report (186). His credits as a director include Where To? (1999) and Mystery Tales (2000). He died on 23 November 2012.
