An Iraqi theater artist, born in the city of Karbala in 1947. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, theatrical department in Baghdad in 1971 and acted in the play Joacan Moreita's Stardom and Murder directed byFadel Khalil. He obtained his doctorate from the Fitz Institute...Read more in Bulgaria and studied at the Higher Institute in theatrical arts in Damascus. He directed a number of plays for the Palestinian theater between 1980 and 1992 and directed the play The Family Tut by the Hungarian Stefan Orkini. The play won two gold awards at the Carthage Festival in Tunis in 1983. He directed Silver Threads, The Zinj Revolution, and The Excavator. He published several books, including Theater and the Palestinian in Us, The Aesthetics of Rehearsal, and Mary’s Mirrors.
