He was born in Mansoura, Dakahlia Governorate, in 1931. He worked in the Electricity Department and practiced acting since childhood. His friendship with major directors played a major role in forming his talent. He worked with great artists such as Hussein Fahmy, Mahmoud Yassin, Ahmed Zaki, Nelly, and Laila Taher. He passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the age of 82.
