A Dutch producer and writer, born in Bremerhaven, Germany. He graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam in 1993. In 2005, he co-wrote and co-produced the Palestinian film Paradise Now, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. He also produced the films Salt of This Sea (2008) and Atlantic. (2014).
