An American writer, director, and executive producer, born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended Sewickley Academy, a private school in Pittsburgh, and then Northwestern University. He began his career working in theater before focusing on cinema and television. Some of his credits include Heartland (2007) and Personal Effects (2009).
