Ahmed Sawan is a Syrian journalist of Palestinian origin, he is born in Birya village, Safed in 1947. He got his Bachelor's degree in Literature, Arabic language section from Damascus University in 1973 and a diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism in 1972. He began his career...Read more as journalist editor in Al Thawra Newspaper in 1967. His interest was focused on cultural and literary affairs and interviewed many poets and writers and then he started writing in political topics. Many of his articles were published in magazines, newspapers and even broadcasted in the Syrian TV and radio. He held many positions in different newspapers and magazines such as Head of the cultural department then political department in Al Thawra Newspaper and editor-in-chief for Voice of Palestine magazine. He was a member of the Council of the Syrian Journalists Union for two elections and he visited many foreign and Arabian countries for official press missions and invitations to media and diplomatic festivals.
