Afterwards he continued his TV appearances with "Still the Beaver" (1985-1989), Married...With Children (1987–1988), "My Two Dads" (1987–1990), "Blossom"(1990–1991) in addition to "The Wonder Years"(1993)," Ellen"(1994), "The X-Files"(1995)," Friends"(1996–2004) and "That Thing You Do!"(1996). Moreover he starred in many movies including:" The Postman", "Saving Private Ryan"(1998)," The Mod Squad"(1999)," The Gift"(2000) for which he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actor and Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor. In the last couple of year he shined in many movies as: "Middle Men"(2010)," The Rum Diary"(2011)," Contraband"(2012) and the upcoming movie "The Gangster Squad"(2013).
