An American writer, born in Sioux City, Iowa. Her father was a salesman, and the family moved around a lot during her youth. She graduated from Drake University and earned her master's degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has been a screenwriter since 1993 when she sold her first story idea. Diane's short fiction has appeared in Grey Sparrow Review. She's known for Frida (2002).
