An American animator, artist and writer, born in New York, United States. He's known for his contribution to designing the characters of the animated films Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Pinocchio (1940), and The Lion King (1994). He also worked on Mulan (1998), in addition to many other works for the Walt Disney Animation Studios. He died on May 6, 2005 in Glendale, California, USA.
