An American actor, born in Dallas, Texas, USA. He is the youngest of five children of a father of Norwegian origin. He began his career in theater in 1978, and then moved to New York to work in theatrical performances on Broadway in 1981. Some of his works include Sophie's Choice (1982) and Ally McBeal (1997-2002).
