She was born on December 18, 1978, in Toledo, Ohio. She has three sisters and one brother, and her father is attorney Joseph Martin Holmes. Her school theater director encouraged her to move to Los Angeles for the pilot season of television acting, where Katie participated in many competitions. She is best known for her roles in the movies Batman Begins (2005), Ocean's 8 (2018), and Logan Lucky (2017).
