Rose Ariana McGowan was born on September 5, 1973 in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. She is of Irish and French descent. She cut ties with her family and immigrated to Eugene, Oregon, in the United States of America. Then she moved to live with her grandmother in Washington at the age of 14. McGowan attended Roosevelt High School, and then joined the University of California. Rose began her career in 1995 with the movie Death Generation 9. She was nominated for the Best Performance Award in the movie Planet of Horror.
