An American actress, born in New York in June 1966. She studied acting at the Meisner Institute in 1988 and 1989. Her first role was in the movie Out of Justice (1991), starring Steven Seagal. She then focused on television, and participated in the series Murder, She Wrote, and...Read more Law & Order in 1993, which qualified her to play the role of a nurse Carol Hathaway in the series ER in 1994 until 1999. While participating in ER, she began appearing in movies in 1997, but she did not achieve as much success as she achieved in her television work. In 2009, Margulies got a starring role in the series The Good Wife, for which she won the Golden Globe Award.
