Since then, she became the face of a number of campaigns for fashion and jewelry shows. She debuted in cinema with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) with Shahrukh Khan, and the film gained an overwhelming success as critics said that Anushka achieved a heavy-caliber achievement as she performed her role very well from beginning to end. The actress was nominated for a Filmfare Best New Actress Award. She appeared in Badmaash Company (2010) with Shahid Kapoor, but his success was not as much as her first film. She returned to the scene strongly in the same year with Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) and won the IIFA Award for Best Actress, Best Duo. Anushka repeated the experience again in 2011 in the movie Ladies vs Ricky Bahl in front of the same actor, and neither the audience nor the critics disappointed her.
