Also He studied acting, kinetic dance and vocal training. Then he joined the University of California to study acting. During 2008 he was a faculty member and assistant in the Asian American Studies Program at the University of Pennsylvania. He is still trying to obtain a graduate degree in the field International Security at Stanford University. Kal was a member of the public speaking team at Freehold Township High School. On April 7, 2009, Kal Penn was accepted as assistant director in the White House Office of Public Communications and International Government Affairs. Kal is a close friend of Olivia Wilde.
