An Iranian actress, born on October 1, 1972, in Tehran, Iran, to Iranian director Ali Hatami and actress Zahra Hatami. She studied electrical engineering and French literature in Switzerland before returning to Iran again. She debuted in Leila (1997) which achieved success. She almost worked with all the Iranian directors. She won Best Actress in Montreal World Film Festival for The Deserted Station (2002). She is known for the movie A Separation.
