A British actress born on May 30, 1977 in London. She is the daughter of actress Diana Rigg and theater producer Archibald Sterling. Her first appearance was on stage in 1996 with the play Othello. She is best known for her hits The Young Victoria, and Snow White and the Huntsman.


Rachael Stirling is an English stage, film and television actress. She hails from London, England, where she was born in 1977. She is best known for playing Nancy Astley in the BBC drama "Tipping the Velvet" (2002). She graduated from University of Edinburgh with a degree in art history. The British actress is fluent in Russian, and is a highly skilled equestrian. Her first film appearance was in the 1998 British comedy "Still Crazy." She has been nominated twice for the Olivier Award, first in 2009 for her portrayal of Rebecca in "The Priory" and later in 2010 for her performance in "An Ideal Husband" at the Vaudeville Theatre. Notably, she's starred in "The Triumph of Love" (2001), "The Young Victoria" (2009), "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" (2011) and "Snow White and the Hunstman" (2012).
