It is a dark crime novel that infiltrates the world of drugs in Somalia and the trade of marijuana, which is called there locally "yamba." His second novel was Ramata. It was also published in Paris by the same printing house in 2000, and in it, Abasse exposes laxity, negligence, and corruption in the Senegalese capital, while his third novel was Mbëkë mi, and it also bears a second title, à l'assaut des vagues de l'Atlantique (Storming the Waves of the Atlantic).
