An American actress, born on February 25, 1938, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. She moved to New York at the age of 18 to study acting with Charles Conrad and continued her training in Los Angeles. She made her film debut in The Diary of Anne Frank (1959). Her other notable films include The Prize (1963), Alfred Hitchcock's Marnie (1964), and The Silence of the Lambs (1991).
