American director, writer, and producer, born in New York, USA, on July 23, 1959. She is known for Dirt (2003), The 24 Hour Woman (1999), and True Love (1989), for which she won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival for the latter. She married Richard Guay and they got three children.
