American actress, director, writer, and singer, born in Seattle, Washington, to an American mother and a Brazilian mother. When she was two years old, the family moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil, and returned when she was eleven to California. Her works include Switched at Birth, The Last Ship, and Good Trouble.
