American film producer and writer, born in Moldova. He completed his university studies at Columbia in 1941, where he studied journalism and published in the Columbia Daily Spectator. His writing works include The Apartment (1960), Some Like It Hot (1959), and The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (1970). He died on April 21, 1988, in Beverly Hills in the United States, at the age of 67 years.
