An American writer and director, born on September 6, 1972, in Tulare County, California, USA. He studied theater major at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is known for The Details (2011) and He's Watching (2022). Estes was nominated for a Golden Camera Award at Cannes Film Festival in 2004 for Mean Creek, and won a John Cassavetes Award for the sane movie at the Film Independent Spirit Awards in 2005.
