A director of children's programs and series, born in 1942 in the village of Saffour, Sharqia Governorate. He later moved with his family to Cairo, where he obtained his baccalaureate. Obeis joined the Faculty of Law for two years. He then joined the Arab television, since its establishment in 1960. He began his career as a studio manager for two years, then worked as an assistant director. After a few years, Obeis became a director of children's programs. During that period, he directed a number of famous children's programs such as Birds of Paradise and other famous programs in the seventies. Obeis later presented the famous religious children's program The Knowledge and Faith Club. In the mid-nineties, Obeis began directing TV specials at Sono Cairo company, such as Family Star, and Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. At the same time, he directed the popular program Children's Cinema, as well as programs for the Reading for All festivals, and children's holiday programs. He passed away after a struggle with illness on February 7, 2017, in Maadi, Egypt.
