She is an American actress and singer, born on November 9, 1988 in New York. She was nominated for several awards and was considered an all-round artist. She won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role in the movie Hairspray. In 2007, she also won the Best Young Actress Award. One of her most famous films is Waiting for Forever and The English Teacher.
