He started his career in the film industry by working as an apprentice in film distribution and direction in Lamhe (1991). His directorial debut was Dil Chahta Hai (2001). He established...Read more Excel Entertainment, a production company, with Ritesh Sidhwani in 1999. He also wrote the lyrics for the songs of the popular Indian film Bride and Prejudice (2004). His most notable works include Lakshya (2004), Don (2006), Positive (2007), and Luck by Chance (2009). He won the Regional Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi at the National Film Awards, India as a producer for Rock On!! (2008).
