An American actress, born in Hahira, Georgia, the United States. She attended Berea College in Kentucky in 1954 and won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England. She also wrote and directed her first play, The Snow Is Mud. Some of her credits include Pollock (2000) and All That Jazz (1979). She died on September 17, 2015.
