American actress, born on August 25, 1980 in Moscow. She was raised in Moscow, Russia, before her family moved, first to Italy and finally to New York City. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a double major in Film Studies and Psychology. She worked as script supervisor on TV ads. She wrote and directed short films and pursued directing before turning to acting. Among her films are The Invasion (2007), Miss March (2009) and Outlanders (2007).
