An English actor, born in Marylebone, London. He was educated at King's College, Cambridge. Redgrave played a variety of roles in cinema, theater, and television, and became famous on stage for his performances of Shakespeare's plays such as Henry IV, Antony and Cleopatra, and The Tempest. Beginning in the early sixties, he also participated in several television series, such as The Avengers and Theatre 625. Redgrave also played various roles in several television films, such as The Girl in the Café and The Relief of Belsen. He married Deirdre Hamilton-Hill in 1962, and they had two children, but they separated in 1981. He married actress Kika Markham in 1985, and they also had two children. They remained together until his death on April 6, 2010, in Tooting, London.
