American actress, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. She studied at Hollins College, then studied drama at Circle in the Square Theatre School. She launched her career in the 1980s. She is known for Unfaithful (2002), The Night Listener (2006), Louie (2011), and Margot at the Wedding (2007).
