A German actress, born in Germany. She attended the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, and after that, she participated in performances in theaters. In 2002, she joined the acting troupe of the Basel Theater in Switzerland. One year later, a magazine specializing in theater described her as the best young actress that year. She became widely known in Germany after one of her first screen appearances in Requiem (2006), and thanks to her performance, she became one of three German winners who were consecutively crowned with the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin Film Festival.
