An Egyptian director, writer, and a pioneer in the documentary film industry in Egypt. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Arts, Department of Philosophy 1956 and started working on television since its establishment 1960. She obtained a diploma in film and television directing from London in 1961. She returned to Egypt in 1962 to direct a group of the most important documentary films. She is known for Nefertiti (1970), The Road of Pain (1976), and St. Catherine's Monastery (1962).
