An American actor, born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA. He enrolled at a military academy before enlisting in the US Navy. In 1944, during World War II, he took part in the invasion of the Normandy area in northwest France. He attended St. Lawrence University after the war to study English. In addition, he served as the student university's president, editor of the college journal, and a member of the honor society. After graduating, he became a broadcaster and worked on the radio, in addition to television networks such as CBS and ABC. He participated in That Kind of Woman (1959) and The Born Losers (1967).
