An Egyptian media personality, social researcher, journalist and novelist, born on June 15, 1941 in Cairo. She was educated in England and joined the Faculty of Arts, English Department. After obtaining a master's degree, she worked in many Arab media organizations. She served as editor-in-chief of Sayidaty magazine, and participated in presenting the TV program Nawaem's Talk. She wrote a weekly article in the newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat. She passed away on July 28, 2014 after suffering from pancreatic cancer.
