American actor born on 13 October 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah, US. He enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City in 1937. His most notable works include Strangers on a Train (1951), Her Highness and the Bellboy (1945), The Clock (1945), and Bataan (1943). He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. He married three times and had two children, including actor Robert Walker, Jr. He died on 28 August 1951 in Los Angeles, California, US.
