Dana Andrews was an American actor born in Covington County, Mississippi, on January 1, 1909 as Carver Dana Andrews. He received the Golden Apple Award in 1946. Andrews studied opera and worked at the Pasadena Playhouse. He is famous for his role in The Best Years if our Lives (1946). His most important roles are in: the movie Laura (1944), the movie The Ox-Bow Incident (1943), and the TV series Night of the Demon (1957).
