American actress born on October 21, 1895 in Nevada. She worked as a secretary in San Francisco. She then worked at Esanai Studios. She was noticed by Charlie Chaplin while she was filming a night out. He immediately signed a contract with her. She co-starred in cinema for seven years, but she quit cinema later. She is known for The Tramp (1915), The Kid (1921), and Sunnyside Sunnyside (1919). She died on January 11, 1958, of throat cancer in Hollywood.
